This is what everyone does. The design of the site defines the look and feel of your internet presence. Your site can be as detailed as you like. You can have it very plain for fast access. Or you could have it super flashy with animations and music. It's up to you.

Having a program running as part of your site increases its interactivity manyfold. Instead of looking at your pages (just like a book) a user can browse pages created dynamically, which are tailored to a specific user's requirements. This is a bit more rare.  Maybe you want an interactive catalogue, or a self updating diary, or a poem that anyone can contribute to.  Having a computer program controlling certain parts of your site opens up the internet to its full potential.  The only limit is your own imagination. Really. It’s like Disneyland but with the web instead of hourly parades. We can write these programs in a variety of languages - we use Perl and ASP for sever side cgi-bin programs, Javascript for programs that need to be run browser side, and Visual Basic for database applications.

We own a chunk of cyberspace, and can rent it out to you to keep your pages on. It's here that all your pages, pictures and programs will live. Having your site on our server allows anyone in the world access to it at any time. Pages can be updated by us, or by yourselves with using our software, or with a little help from an 'ftp' program. We'll help you set everything up.

A domain name is the bit after the www, and before the .co.uk. We’ll register it for you. It’s quite a simple process, and as such has resulted in bad people registering names that don’t belong to them. Don’t let it happen to you.

Hand in hand with your domain name goes your email address. Once you’ve registered the domain name, we can set up as many email addresses as you want.
